2019 Annual Safety Education Seminar
9月18日下午15点30分，我校在红天体育馆举办了2019年度新生安全教育讲座。保卫处邀请公安大学王大伟教授作为主讲嘉宾，讲授大学生日常安全知识，全体2019级新生参加了此次活动。
On September 18th, 2019, University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) held a seminar on annual safety education for new class of 2019 Freshmen at Hongtian stadium. UIBE Department of Security invited Mr. Dawei, Wang, professor of Criminology at People’s Public Security University of China, to give the lecture of campus safety and wellness.

王教授以警察学、犯罪学、被害人学三个公安专业为背景，从“警之于前，察之于后”、“主动自救观念预防”、“给小偷一个不偷你的理由”三个方面对大学生日常安全进行了深刻讲解。他首先从近期案件为例引出正题，讲述面对侵害时的自防自救方法，结合我校实际情况向新生们介绍了“女孩必备防身器”、“在家三种东西不能搁”、“四喊三不喊”、“给小偷一个不偷你的理由”等“平安套餐十忠告”，并对“斯德哥尔摩症候群”、“破窗理论”等名词做了详解。
Professor Wang started with the knowledge of Police Theory, Criminology, and Victimology, followed by “nip in the bud”, “save yourself first”, and “keep thieves at bay”. Later, he used several examples of recent cases and combined with the actual situations to explain the self-defense methods to the freshmen. New UIBEers also were introduced to the “10 Safety Tips College Students Should Know”, which includes “girls must-haves”, “three belongings cannot be left behind at home”, “keep a low profile” and etc.. Besides, he also explained the terminologies such as “Stockholm Syndrome” and “Broken Window Theory”.

通过安全歌谣、漫画等形式，王大伟教授生动讲述了在面对火车偷窃、电信诈骗、入室抢劫等安全问题时的应对策略，亲自示范了“二龙戏珠”防身术，语言风趣幽默、内容通俗易懂，现场气氛热烈、掌声笑声迭起。最后，他以“与人忠，执事敬，居处恭”为结语，启示同学们树立正确的世界观、人生观、价值观。
Through the safety songs and comics, Professor Wang taught students how to prevent or recover from crime and the basic self-defense moves to enhance students’ safety and well-being. In the end, Professor Wang finished this seminar with “Be Loyal, Be Serious, and Show Integrity” to guide students to establish the right world look, values, and outlook on life.

讲座结束后，保卫处胡瑞丽老师结合贸大学习生活实际，通过讲述发生在身边的危险事故案例，从防火、防盗和防诈骗三个方面，提示新生在日常生活学习中形成良好的安全意识和安全习惯，并着重介绍了校园内的报警设施、报警求助方式。讲座获得同学们的一致好评，最终在热烈的掌声中圆满结束。
After the seminar, Ms. Ruili Hu, faculty of Department of Security, introduced the general campus emergency information, emergency procedures and the UIBE’s Wechat official account. By following the Wechat official account, students could report any situation that makes them uncomfortable during a campus emergency. On the other hand, students could also find all the information of the household registration system. Ms. Hu also pointed out that faculties and students should fully understand the importance of safety awareness and establish the right safety behavior, not only from fire safety, anti-theft, and anti-fraud, but the real security incidents.

此次讲座是继9月10日研究生国家安全教育专题讲座后，面向2019级新生的又一次大型安全教育，是保卫处组织的“平安随行、安全相伴”系列活动之一，有助于普及安全常识、增强安全意识，让广大新生更好、更快、更安全的融入到贸大的学习和生活中去，共同维护和谐校园、平安校园。
This seminar is another safety education for UIBE 2019 Freshmen after the National Security Education for grad students which held on September 10th, 2019. This seminar is one of the series of “Safety is with You” organized by the Department of Security which is aimed at enhancing safety awareness, and letting the new UIBEers blend into new campus life in a better, faster, and safer way.
